What Happens in Your Free 15-Minute Call
iQuit team ·
In short. Your first step with iQuit is a free 15-minute call with the specialist for what you're quitting: an addiction-specialised psychologist for drinking or smoking, a nutritionist for meat or sugar. You talk about where you are, what you've tried and what you'd like. You leave with one recommendation. No cost, no commitment.
Who you'll talk to
It depends on what you're quitting.
- Drinking or smoking: an addiction-specialised psychologist.
- Meat or sugar: a nutritionist.
They're real people, not an algorithm. The call is how you meet them and see if it feels right. It's by video, so you can take it from wherever you are.
The 15 minutes, step by step
Every call is a little different, but this is the rough shape.
- A few minutes of listening. Your specialist starts with a simple question: what made you book this call today? You don't need a prepared answer.
- Where you are. Your habit, what you've tried before, what has and hasn't worked, and what you'd like to be different.
- How sessions work. What a regular session looks like and what the first one covers.
- One recommendation. Not a menu of options. One suggestion for what could suit you, which might be a regular plan, a single session, or taking more time to think.
- Next steps. If you'd like to go ahead, you'll get a link. If you'd like to think about it, that's fine.
What you don't need to prepare
No label. No rock-bottom story. No decision.
If you'd like something to think about beforehand, try these three questions:
- What made me book this call today?
- What have I tried before, and what did I learn?
- What would a good month look like?
What happens after
After the call, you choose. Your options:
- A single session, if you want to try it once.
- A monthly plan: Check-in (twice a month), Committed (every week) or All-In (every week, with support between sessions).
- Nothing at all. There's no pressure to buy anything after the call.
Prices are shown on each area page, before you pay. You can cancel a plan any time before your next renewal.
One safety note
iQuit is not an emergency or crisis service, and it doesn't replace medical care. If you drink heavily every day, stopping suddenly can be dangerous. Talk to a doctor before you stop. Your specialist will remind you of this too.
