What we collect, why, who sees it and how to control it. In plain words.

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Who we are

iQuit ("we", "us") runs www.myiquit.com and offers 1:1 online support sessions with specialists. We are the controller of the personal data described on this page.

For anything about your data, write to help@myiquit.com.

Booking a free call
  • What we collect: your first name, email, optional phone number, time zone, the area you chose and the time you booked.
  • Why: to book the call, send your confirmation and reminders, and put you in touch with the specialist who will take it.
  • After the call we email you once to ask whether the specialist felt right, and we keep your answer so that, if you ask for someone else, we do not offer you the same specialist again.

Legal basis: carrying out the booking you ask for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)); our legitimate interest in running the follow-up (art. 6(1)(f)).

Quiz answers and health information
  • The 1-minute quiz runs in your browser. Your answers stay on your device for 7 days so you can pick up where you left off.
  • We only receive them if you tick the box that offers to share them with your specialist when you book. They are then visible only to your specialist and the iQuit team.
  • Answers about drinking, smoking or food can reveal health information, which the GDPR treats as special category data (art. 9). We handle them only with your explicit consent, never sell them and never use them for advertising. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.

Legal basis: your explicit consent (GDPR art. 9(2)(a)).

Buying a plan
  • What we collect: your name, email, billing country, the plan and price, and the payment reference. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details.
  • We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Legal basis: performing the contract (art. 6(1)(b)) and meeting our legal obligations (art. 6(1)(c)).

Messages and the newsletter
  • Contact form: your name, email, optional phone and message, used to reply to you.
  • Newsletter: your first name and email, so we can send you a small win every other week. You can unsubscribe at any time by writing to us.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (contact form) and your consent (newsletter).

Applications from professionals
  • If you apply through "Recruitment of professionals", we collect what you put in the form (country, profession, registration details, experience, availability, contact details) and your CV.
  • Only the iQuit team that handles recruitment sees it. We keep it for 12 months, or until you ask us to delete it.

Legal basis: steps you ask for before a possible agreement (art. 6(1)(b)).

Measuring the website
  • Anonymous counters: we count how many people reach each step of the site (for example, how many finish the quiz). This uses no cookie and no identifier, and stores no IP address, so it does not identify anyone.
  • Google Analytics, through Google Tag Manager. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs only if you accept analytics cookies; elsewhere it runs unless you decline. It tells us which pages and buttons are used, from which kind of device and roughly where. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation, and iQuit does not run advertising.
  • You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you decline, we stop sending data to Google Analytics.
  • A signed cookie remembers which price market you are in (for example Europe or the US) so that prices stay the same during your visit. It is essential to the site and carries no personal data.

Legal basis: your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it (ePrivacy rules and art. 6(1)(a)), and our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used elsewhere, for the anonymous counters and for the price cookie.

Who we share data with
  • The specialist you speak to, and the iQuit team.
  • Service providers that work for us under contract: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (spam protection on forms), Brevo (newsletter, where enabled) and Google (analytics, only with your consent).
  • Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States. Where that is the case, the transfer is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by standard contractual clauses.
  • We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
  • Booking, follow-up and contact records: while you are in touch with us, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Applications from professionals: 12 months.
  • Ask us at any time to delete your data and we will, except for what the law obliges us to keep.
Your rights
  • You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, receive a copy you can move elsewhere, and object to our use of it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Write to help@myiquit.com and we will answer within one month.
  • If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live. In Portugal that is the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
  • iQuit is for adults: you must be 18 or over to use it.
